11.1.11 marks the drop of the much anticipated (BY ME) christmas album by justin bieber! i love christmas music and JB, so what a perfect mash! he will be doing a lot of collaborations with other artists, including a remake of mariah carey's all i want for christmas (which makes me SO EXCITED BECAUSE I LOVEEE THAT SONG!!!)

he has already released the first single, MISTLETOE, which has a video as well.  and the christmas song (or CHESTNUTS) ft. USHER.  check it out.....he is just too, too, toooooooooo cute...

TWIHARDS PREPARE!!!!  i dont know about you but i am completely OBSESSED with the twilight saga. own all the books, all the movies, every soundtrack AND score, have a HUGE thing for the lovely robert pattinson, and despite the crap she gets for her acting and whatnot, i really like kristen stewart, too! o, and hellllo taylor lautner! yum ;) anyways, i am very, very excited for BREAKING DAWN part 1 to come out in LESS THAN A MONTH! it comes out on november 18th! only 24 more days! and before that, the album drops, on november 8th!

SPARTY'S NEW GIRLFRIEND

the big man on MSU's campus has a new girlfriend! the #1 mascot in the land was pictured after Michigan State's epic win over Wisconsin last saturday night holding hands with the one and only Erin Andrews! i have always admired erin, she's is my hero. i would love to do what she does. what a fun and exciting sports-packed life she has! so seeing her with OUR SPARTY just makes my girl crush grow even stronger :-P

o the joys of sisterhood

so this year my little sister, mallory, is a freshman at michigan state university.  in addition to majoring in a very difficult, but admirable field; athletic training, she is a strong member of the mello section in the spartan marching band and the spartan brass.  back in my day, i was a mello in the SMB and brass.  she also lives in the dorm i used to live.  she is literally living my life......and i couldn't be more proud of her.  i've been to a handful of football games so far, to watch her march, at though tailgating may have been a contributing factor to my over-emotional state, i teared up while watching her, because i am so, so proud.  my parents actually make fun of me, saying "you're not her mom! why do you care SOOOO much? we care!  we're her parents!!!" i'll tell you why i care so much.  because i went through exactly what she is going through.  i know exactly how it feels.  i know the traditions of being a part of the michigan state bands program.  i know the feeling of being a member of the best band in the big ten.  i know what it feels like to be a part of something so big and so strong and so special that you can't even begin to explain it to someone who didn't go through it.  and the fact that she has gone out there and done it as well, and LOVES IT, by the way, couldn't make me more happy.

my 4 years at MSU were (so far, let's hope) the best 4 years of my life.  i can only hope that mallory gets the same sort of fulfillment out of her short 4 years at MSU, but as long as she continues on her current path, i know, FROM EXPERIENCE, that she will.  :)  i love you, mal. keep up the good work! show 'em the shield!
